PPFM Bondage Pants
2000s
Founded in 1985 and closing in 2014, PPFM (Peyton Place For Men) is a Japanese collective known for its militaristic and punk influenced aesthetic. Throughout the years the brand designed under many alternative names such as Peaceful Place for Military, Power Peoper FM, PPFM Juliet and PPFM Engineering.
The brand’s most recognisable work came out of the early 2000s, described by their own design ethos: “PPFM proposes street casual for Japanese people by Japanese people. Based on musical elements such as British punk and rock”.
This specific pair of pants take direct influence from punk and military design, featuring adjustable bondage straps, lace up sides, and a removable multi-pocket layer on both the front and back of the pants.
